GotAway is a simple place to read and share real travel experiences. No storefronts, no fake content.
The problem
Travel sites today are almost always one of two things: commercial storefronts that want to sell you something, or collections of generic content that could be about anywhere. When you're planning a trip, the real questions go unanswered: how much does it actually cost? What's the best time to go? What would you have wanted to know before leaving?
GotAway's answer
A feed of experiences told by people who were there: destination, timing, money actually spent and the tips they wish they'd been given. Rich cards that are quick to read, free to browse and open to everyone, no sign-up. People coming back from a trip share it; people about to leave find real information.

Who's behind it
GotAway is an independent project, small and growing, built with care and no rush. There's no big company behind it: there's the belief that honest stories from travelers are worth more than a thousand brochures. The best way to contribute is simple: share your experience.
