How it works GotAway
Reading experiences is free and needs no sign-up. To share yours, all you need is a free account. Here's everything you need to know.
Reading is free
No account, no barriers: open the feed, pick an experience and find the info that matters for planning your trip straight away. Every experience includes:
Destination
Country and city or region: you know right away where it takes you.
Period
When the trip was taken, season included.
Duration
How many days you really need, no surprises.
Real budget
How much was spent, per person or total. Real figures, not marketing estimates.
Story
The story of the trip, written in the first person by whoever lived it.
Practical tips
What to do, what to avoid, where to eat and sleep.
Author's rating
From 1 to 5: how much the person who was there recommends this experience.
Sharing yours
Just back from a trip? Sharing it helps whoever travels after you. All you need is a (free) account, which lets you manage your content and keeps spam away.
Create a free account with email and password, or sign in with Google. It takes seconds and costs nothing.
Fill in the form
Title, destination, category, period, duration, who you traveled with, budget, story and tips: the form guides you field by field.
Save draft or publish
Not finished? Save as a draft and pick it up whenever you like. To publish you only need the cover photo and your rating from 1 to 5.
Edit or delete anytime
From your dashboard you manage drafts and published experiences: update, fix or delete at any moment. The content stays yours.
Quality and trust
GotAway lives on honest stories. That's why the community rests on three simple principles:
Real people
Every experience is signed by whoever lived it, with a public profile and their trips told in the first person.
Report what's wrong
False, offensive or out-of-place content? You can report it with one click: you help us keep the community clean.
Moderation
We check reports and remove what breaks the rules. Few rules, but real ones.
